Founded by Arthur Lasenby Liberty, Liberty is a movement dedicated to discovery, animated by arts, culture, and design. In the spirit of their founder, Liberty remains unapologetically eccentric and committed to bringing good design to all.

Liberty Fabrics has been at the cutting-edge of design and decorative arts since 1875. Designed by an in-house team in the heart of London, printing takes place at the Liberty mill in northern Italy, which uses both innovative digital technology and age-old techniques.

Liberty’s flagship London store acts as the iconic brand home – and in its core sits the Liberty Design Studio. With over a dozen highly skilled artists who conceptualise, rework and hand-draw artworks to create hundreds of new designs every year for each division: Fashion, Interiors, and Crafting.

Liberty Fabrics recognises that the production of fabric has significant environmental and social impact on the world around us – the company takes its duty towards responsible production seriously, making every endeavour to continuously improve progress in this area. Through ‘Liberty, For Life’ and their Ethical Trade, Environment, Charity and Community pillars, Liberty are committed to ensuring that they minimise any negative impacts from products by investing in social and environmental measures.

In 2017 Liberty Fabrics joined The Better Cotton Initiative as a trader member which supports its customers to meet their BCI commitments by facilitating BCI cotton orders through the supply chain. The BCI is committed to working with cotton farmers to improve environmental, social and economic sustainability practices globally.

The continued focus that Liberty places on the pursuit of discovery and individual expression is the reason why we are so excited to produce all of our garments in Liberty prints.

Hidden within our clothing is the silent language of metaphor encouraging a voyage of inner discovery. Most importantly, through our designs and fabrics we create clothing that allows children to foster creativity, explore the world and give flight to new ideas.
