Ce Jour-Là - French for “that day” - is a celebration of the present and the little moments that make childhood unforgettable.
We design joyful clothing for curious children who run, explore and play freely. With bold prints, thoughtful silhouettes and soft cotton fabrics, every piece is created to bring colour, comfort and confidence to everyday adventures.
Where play meets design
Ce Jour-Là was founded in 2024 by Rachel Drake-Brockman, inspired by the early days of motherhood and the search for children’s clothing that could be both beautiful and practical.
After the birth of her daughter, Rachel found that many dresses were designed for appearance rather than play - structured silhouettes, thick linings and delicate details that limited movement. Yet childhood is anything but still.
Ce Jour-Là was created to offer something different: clothing that is bold yet timeless, playful yet practical.
Our pieces are designed with space to move - silhouettes that allow children to run, climb, twirl and explore freely, while joyful prints encourage creativity, curiosity and self-expression.
Thoughtfully made
We believe clothing made for childhood should also be made with care for the world children are growing up in.
Our collections are produced in small batches to minimise waste and encourage thoughtful production. We prioritise digital printing techniques, which use significantly less water and ink than traditional methods, and proudly work with a 100% female supply chain that champions skilled craftsmanship and ethical manufacturing.
At the heart of our collections are Liberty Fabrics, renowned for their distinctive prints and design heritage since 1875. Each design begins as hand-drawn artwork created by Liberty’s in-house team in Soho, London, before being printed at their specialist mill near Lake Como in Italy.
We use Liberty Tana Lawn™ cotton, a beautifully soft, breathable fabric known for its silk-like feel and exceptional durability - ensuring every piece is comfortable, expressive and built to last.
