The Ce-jour là Brand

French for "that day," Ce jour-là kids is a celebration of the present, a tribute to individual moments, and a reminder to cherish every precious memory. Founded in 2024 by Rachel Drake-Brockman, the Ce-jour Là name encapsulates our philosophy of slowing down and embracing the now.
The idea for Ce jour-là began in 2022, following the birth of Rachel's daughter. As a mother, Rachel learned first-hand the challenges of finding beautiful yet practical children's clothing: buying tailored dresses with ruching and thick linings only to change her daughter's outfits once it was time to play or explore outside. She wanted Ce-jour là kids to offer something that could be both—beautiful and functional.
That's why Ce-jour là offer children’s clothing that is charming yet unafraid, timeless yet bold, delightfully playful, enduringly uninhibited, and crafted exclusively in Liberty Fabric.
Our Ce-jour là kids garments are vehicles for self-discovery that allow our children to grow bolder. Each piece has been designed with space for movement and in prints that encourage and foster self-expression. Most importantly, our clothing is free-flowing and effortless to allow for boundless movement—just as there are no boundaries to what children can explore and create while wearing them.

We proudly use 100% cotton Liberty Fabrics, produced through digital textile printing using less water and only 10% of the volume of ink required in traditional screen printing.
At Ce jour-là, we are committed to responsible sourcing and manufacturing processes which is why we are grateful to work with a fabric such as Liberty Tana Lawn cotton. Not only is Tana Lawn a breathable, silk-like fabric, it is highly durable which reduces fabric waste. When it comes to manufacturing, we produce smaller batches of clothing to reduce environmental strain caused by discarded items and textile waste.
Every bolt of Liberty fabric is the product of a bespoke production process: hand drawn or painted by the in-house design team in Soho, London. Transformed onto fabric at Liberty’s own Italian printing mill, near Lake Como.
We invite you to join Ce-jour là in focusing on "that day." Let's step away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday and be present in the here and now with our children. Let's create beautiful memories, and let our clothes be a part of them. It's not just about the clothes, it's about the moments they allow us to make.
